I'm a graduate of the Laguna College of Art and Design, in Laguna Beach, California. Since 1993 I have been a successful freelance illustrator.
My current projects are focused within the historical, military historical and fantasy book publishing and game development media. My versatility has allowed me the opportunity to create imagery for educational publications, picture dictionarys and children's books. I've also received commissions within the textile, corporate and advertising markets. My work as well as my patrons projects have earned numerous visual communications awards. IThe vast majority of the art on this website is created digitally. I have expert level command of Painter, Photoshop and Illustrator., as well as strong traditional drawing and painting skills. A veteran freelancer, I have a great deal of experience working as part of a team from a remote location. I am an avid gamer; traditional pen and paper and interactive historical and fantasy simulations, RPG's and shooters. I'm also keenly interested in history and military history. I'm affiliated with several re-enactment groups which gives my work a highly detailed, accurate and dynamic quality that ultimately tells the story of the human condition and experience of the time. As an artist with a passion for communication, I am also a part time educator, teaching advanced art courses to advanced high school art students who have an interest in attending art college and pursuing a career in the arts. My studio is located in Dana Point, Southern California. I live with my wife and daughter and during my spare time I enjoy coaching youth soccer and, of course, a little "serious" gaming with my friends and family. |
